Valvoline
Zartman Construction replaced pit perimeter steel on three bays of the service station while the station remained open.
The existing pit toe kicks, safety net cables and oil pan shuttle structure was found to be corroded, so the structural steel was replaced for longevity. One bay remained open for business at all times, while the whole structural floor was replaced in sections. With the help of Chudley Engineering temporary/permanent structural shoring was designed between the bays to maintain integrity of the operating bays. The new structural steel was galvanized as per Valvoline’s requirements.
To assist Valvoline, Zartman performed additional apron and exiting driveway work to minimize invasive rain water to the open bays. The new pit steel, concrete slabs and asphalt gave the facility longevity and a fresh look for customer appeal.
