Long-time Zartman CFO Retires
NORTHUMBERLAND, Pa. — Zartman Construction’s Chief Financial Officer of almost two decades retired on Friday, January 31.
Vickie Spotts, CPA, CCIFP, has worked tirelessly over the last 19 years for Zartman Construction and has been instrumental in navigating economic ups and downs.
Zartman’s new CFO, Matt Lacklin, CPA, has been working with Spotts for several months in preparation for his transition to the role of Chief Financial Officer.
Lacklin earned his bachelor’s degree in Professional Accountancy from Penn State University and an associate’s degree in Business Administration from Harrisburg Area Community College.
In 2012 Lacklin was named one of the Central Penn Business Journal’s “40 under 40” and in 2014 was PICPA’s Young Leader Award.
“As a new member of the company and it’s management team I’m integrating myself into it’s culture,’ says Lacklin. “Our accounting department endeavors to provide timely information to our management team and maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. I look forward to building on the great systems and processes Vickie established and lend my expertise to Zartman’s continued growth.”
Lacklin previously worked at Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz and Corning, Inc.
“Matt is an excellent addition and has quickly become one of the team. He brings impressive experience, business acumen and perspective from his years in public accounting,” says President David Zartman. “Vickie will definitely be missed and we wish her well in her retirement.”
