Zartman added 2,000 square feet of additional retail space on to the existing business.
The design-build project included creating an aluminum curtain wall and brick veneer design to tie-in with the existing building. A parapet was added, making the roof line more visually appealing.
The addition has extra wide column spacing to keep an open floor plan and seamless integration between the new and existing parts of the building.
The existing building frame required special engineering and reinforcement to handle the extra loads placed on it.
A fire protection barrier wall was constructed between the retail space and the warehouse space within the building, eliminating the need to add a full facility sprinkler system.
