Zartman Construction was part of the team for the new PRIME addition to the Evangelical Community Hospital.
The Patient Room Improvement, Modernization, and Enhancement is a 112,000 square-foot, four-story expansion.
The $72 million project features 88 brand-new, single-patient rooms. Each room is designed for patient comfort, including sliding doors and zones set up for caregivers and visitors.
It also includes new spaces for guest services, an infusion center, pre-admission care, an acute care unit, an intermediate care unit, and an orthopedic unit.
The two-year project was delayed for two months due to COVID-19. The hospital is built with 699 tons of steel framework, 4,865 cubic yards of concrete, and 13,533 sheets of drywall.
